Very true. I was dissapointed when I didn't get a deck, but I will just wait 'til next time. Some people freaked out though. By the way, Phillipe, I sent you an e-mail, please respond.

It's going to be really nice of you make new generation decks with deeper concave because some people don't really like this concave, and even that you will satisfy more people and you will earn more money, another generation with deeper concave will be better :)

I think you DEFINITELY should limit to one deck per person. You're going to sell every deck out either way, so what difference does it make. I've tried like three times to get a deck and never could, its not fair when other people get four.

The one deck per person policy will be up next time we have decks in stock to make it fair for everyone. we will announce the day but not the hour of the opening, to prevent website crashes. Regarding the concave, our previous generations of decks all had deeper concaves, the concave that we have now is an evolution from that, with better performance and more realistic look.

i think they should have a waiting list of people who have tried multiple times and failed i know some people have tried to get a deck like the last 3 times and failed . the one deck per person is way is good. if they realesed like once a month or something like that more people whould get decks and the website wouldnt crash

Philippe, I like the idea of the no time announced on the date of the release. Not only will it prevent website crashes, I feel like it will create a fairer playing field to get a board. IF you are rely dedicated to get a board you will wait morning, day, and night to do so. Even then some people will not get boards and that is the way it is. It's like winning the loto some times you win allot of the times you don't and people need to understand and deal with that. Instead of the negativity keep trying!!! These boards are huge and the company will grow.

I'm not sure if that is really you Phillipe, but I hope that's true. If it is you, perhaps edit your post on the blog. Some people tried pretending to be you last time the decks came in stock to give themselves a better chance at getting a deck.

Phellipe, i sincerely do not agree with you, because, if you dont tell us the hour, the web will crash every hour because everyone will be all the day in the website and refreshing, and the idea of the ONE DECK PER PERSON is not good because, like me, i try the first time and got the yellowood, and the people that have tried the tree times is because they do not know how quick you have to be and then start to cry like ...

Phillipe I think that you should sell through distributors like Flatface but also keep selling through the Yellowood site so that it's easier to purchase a Yellowood.

I disagree about the distribution process through FlatFace and/or No Comply. The reason yellowoods are so heavily in demand and sell for a ridiculous amount of money, is solely because they are hard to get. By selling them through FlatFace, you're taking away the entire point of and rarity of the boards. What makes it fun is being able to be one of the few to obtain one! I personally think he should sell a little more often, atleast 1-2 times per month. I definitely agree with the one per person limit ideaas well. :)

Yeah, definitely don't sell through a distributor. The shape seems good, but from what I hear the pop is soggy. Is this only on graphic decks? EVERYONE, I'm sure Phillipe is really busy and makes decks when he can. They likely go into stock as soon as he thinks he has a large enough amount to sell. To EVERYONE WHO SAYS THE ONE DECK RULE IS STUPID. You are just assholes. You want to buy as many decks as possible so you can sell them for 5 times more. You don't even care about the decks or the company. These decks are hard to get, and when greedy people buy tons, and they people that actually want them, it completely undermines the purpose of this company: To make quality decks for fingerboarders(who will use them) and advancing the scene.

To Jason, yea the graphic decks are soggy i have the yellowood green hood series which has very good pop and just recently got the newest yellowood graphic(lighthouse) and it was very soggy i could even do a kickflip on it but non the less phillipe has fine quality and i know it isnt his fault the deck was soggy

All decks are made the same way, with the same materials and processes, they all perform the same way.

March 26, 2009 15:27 - about 1 year ago
Exactly. All yellowoods are made the same, so even if you don't like the shape or the kicks or whatever aren't your preference, like everyone else, you want one because they are rare, and look amazing.
